Ich kam in die Stadt und suchte die Glücklichen, jene, die wegstreben. Sie haben keinen Ort, dachte ich, oder sind an der Erde nicht richtig befestigt. Jedenfalls sind sie nie nur da, wo sie sind, und die Ferne liegt ihnen schon auf den Schultern, noch ehe sie aufgebrochen sind, "rastlose Menschen" werden sie von denen genannt, die es nicht sind. Dabei leben sie eher sesshaft im Aufbruch. Damals wohnte ich auf dem Dorf, und in der Stadt suchte ich beides: Heimweh und Fernweh.
